The International Association of Authorized Economic Operators (AEO) Customs and Logistics integrates the recognized and official private bodies of the customs and logistics sector of the different member countries. It represents more than 30,000 companies and professionals in customs and logistics management.
We process the handling of goods through customs, on a day-to-day basis, facilitating and providing security for international trade logistics. We defend the figure of the Authorized Economic Operator (AEO) that accredits us as reliable partners of the customs administrations in 173 countries.
The main objective of this Association is to build a strong and representative Forum that can be heard by through customs administrations, contributing our experience, proposals and vision.
The founding members of this Association are all the countries belonging to ALACAT, representing the Cargo Agents of Latin America and the Caribbean, and most of the countries that form part of ASAPRA, representing the Customs Agents of Latin America, United States, Spain and Portugal. We are having conversations with related institutions across the world, raising awareness of the project so that they too are involved.
However, we also want to involve all the individuals, legal entities, institutions, administrations, media bodies, financial entities, etc., who may be interested in the purposes pursued by the association, and any of these may become a member of the association on the sole condition that they carry out an accredited activity related to customs, logistics and foreign trade.
We firmly believe that the Authorized Economic Operator (AEO), in its two strands of Customs Simplifications and Security, is the future of customs representation and a pillar for a secure logistics chain, which is why we want to lead the development of this organisation in the regulatory environment and in practice, with the support of all associated partners.
Our mission is to promote, by all means possible, the highest relational, technical and ethical level of the Authorized Economic Operator (AEO).
We hope that the information and services we share through this website with our International Trade partners and interest groups serve well for this purpose.
We invite you to visit us, to follow us and to work together for shared purposes.
