International Association AEO, Customs and Logistics
The International Association of Authorised Economic Operators (AEO) 2019 International Congress: AEO in global supply chains will be held from 26-28 June 2019 in Barcelona, within the SIL2019. The upcoming event was presented at the XVI Customs Forum organised by the Spanish General Council of Customs Agents, between 4-7 October in Cadiz.
The purpose of the 2019 International Congress is to support all actors interested in the AEO standard, the International Association of AEO’s member organizations and their company affiliates to engage with thought leaders on the AEO role in trade performance, e-commerce, security and integrity, and to promote the implementation of best practice.
The Congress presentations address 3 themes:
- Faster customs clearance of cargo, leading to quicker delivery times and cost reduction
- Security in global trade, including e-commerce
- Links between the trade facilitation policy environment and integrity
The program includes overview of policy, insights from research, exchange of experience and best practice, plus networking to facilitate close connections with peers in the international trade communities. It is our aim that the diversity of professional, geographic and cultural perspectives contributes to productive outcomes.
